What are the ingredients inside the capsules?
Our product is 100% natural. There are no additives in our capsules. So, for example, the beetroot capsule is 100% dried beetroot powder, without any additional flavoring or sweeteners. The only flavor that contains more than one ingredient is I.AM.chai. This flavor contains: black tea, cinnamon, cardamom, lemon grass and ginger. We decided to choose for 100% natural, because we want to stay close to nature and we want what’s best for our bodies. If you want to make the flavors more sweet, you can decide to add some honey, sugar or other sweeteners.
How many capsules are inside an I.AM.caps box?
There are 10 capsules inside one I.AM.caps box. 10 delicious shots/lattes for only €5,99. We know, miracles do exist!
What are I.AM.caps capsules made of?
Our capsules are made from PLA (=poly lactic acid). This is acid derived from sugar cane. PLA is more often used as an alternative for regular plastic since it is made from a renewable, plant-based source instead of petroleum (like regular plastic).
Are I.AM.caps capsules biodegradable?
Yes, I.AM.caps are biodegradable. However, they are in an industrial composting plant. This means that in a controlled environment I.AM.caps capsules will naturally break down, returning to the earth, and so it can be classified as biodegradable. Unfortunately, I.AM.caps cannot be thrown into your garden composter yet. To properly dispose of PLA plastics, PLA has to be sent to a commercial facility. These facilities use extremely controlled environments to speed up decomposition. We’re working hard on finding even better alternatives for our capsules. However, PLA was the better environmental option for now (the alternative was aluminium). One of our main goals is to make our business as eco friendly and as carbon neutral as possible.
Is there coffee inside I.AM.caps capsules?
Nope. There is no coffee inside our capsules.
Do the caps contain caffeine?
Only matcha and chai contain caffeine. However, the caffeine that comes from matcha does not give you a caffeine “kick”. The caffeine inside matcha provides your body with energy for a longer period of time in comparison to coffee. We recommend not to drink matcha before going to sleep, because the caffeine can stay in your body for 6 hours. This can make you feel active. Chai also contains caffeine, due to the black tea that’s inside the capsules. The other flavors (beetroot, ginger and turmeric) do not contain caffeine.
How long can I store I.AM.caps capsules?
The ingredients in our capsules are sealed. This means you can store the capsules up to at least one year after production. The production and expiry dates are printed on each pack.
Are I.AM.caps healthy?
From our perspective the term healthy is quite subjective. With that in mind we feel that our caps are a healthy addition to your day, because scientific researches claim that the ingredients we put into our capsules indeed have numerous health benefits. We advise you to consult an expert about the health benefits of the ingredients inside our capsules.
2. Questions about my order
Can I use multiple promo codes at checkout?
We know, we also love discounts. But, unfortunately, you can only use one promo code per order. If you’ve encountered two valid I.AM.caps promo codes, please choose which one of these two you want to use.
I did not receive a confirmation email after I ordered I.AM.caps. Did my order not come through?
It often happens that the confirmation email slips into your spam section of your email. Please check whether this is the case. If you still cannot find the confirmation email, please contact us so we can re-send your confirmation email.
What can I do if my payment is declined?
Here are a few things to check if your payment didn’t go through: check that your cards billing details (such as the security code and billing address) match what you’ve entered into our system. Another reason the payment has been declined can be because your card expired. Please check whether this is the case.
I am not satisfied with the product. Can I return it?
In case you are not satisfied with our product, you can return it up to 14 days after reception. The return sending will only be accepted for unused and undamaged products in their preferably original packaging. This means that the boxes may not be opened and still have to be filled with 10 capsules. If you already threw away the original delivery packaging, you may return the I.AM.caps box/boxes in a delivery packaging of your own choice.The cost of that packaging as well as the return cost are for your own account. You are reimbursed for the returned products within 14 days after reception at the logistics company working on behalf of I.AM.caps. You may also use our Standard Form for Withdrawal as attached to our General Terms and Conditions.
Can I add a personal message to my order?
Unfortunately, at the moment that’s not possible. However, we are currently busy adding this feature to our webshop. For more information, please stay tuned through our Instagram.
I want to change or cancel my order. How do I do that?
Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll see if it's still possible to change or cancel your order. To guarantee fast delivery, the orders are packed and dispatched as quickly as possible. Whenever the package is already on its way we unfortunately can’t change or cancel your order.
I need an invoice. Where can I get it?
Whenever you need an invoice, please send an email to email@example.com. We’ll make you a personalized invoice, since we are not able yet to automate this process.
3. Questions about the shipment
Do you ship worldwide?
YES we do! We’re so excited to ship our capsules to you wherever you are on this planet. Oh, do you live on the moon? OK, no problem. Challenge accepted!
Within how many days can I expect my order to arrive?
We are working closely with our external partners and carriers to ensure your I.AM.caps can reach you as quickly as possible. Within the Netherlands, you can expect your package to be delivered within 3-4 working days. However, outside of the Netherlands this can take longer. For orders outside of the Netherlands it can take 2-17 working days to arrive.
How is it possible that the shipping costs are more expensive than the product itself?
We wish we could lower the price of shipping costs, however, that’s what companies such as PostNL and DHL are charging for parcels. For remarks about the prices of shipment, we kindly ask you to contact the shipping companies. However, we’re very grateful that they deliver our packages, because without them we had to drive/fly/sail all over the world ourselves. We assure you that if this was the case the previous question would have a different answer ;)
How can I check the status of my order?
After you’ve ordered your I.AM.caps you receive a confirmation email. We’ll make sure your package will be shipped to you. Within 2-3 working days you’ll receive an email with the shipping details and the track and trace of your package. Here, you can follow your order and track when it will be delivered.
My order still hasn’t arrived. What should I do?
Oh no… We’re very sorry that you haven’t been able to make your colorful lattes yet. Please send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll make sure to check where your parcel is and when you can expect it.
4. Other questions
How do I drink I.AM.caps?
It depends on how strong you want your beverage to be. If you like a stronger taste we recommend you to use the “small” button (espresso size) of your Nespresso machine and if you like it softer we recommend you to use the “large” button (lungo size) of your Nespresso machine. You can drink it without milk, but we love to add some (plant-based) milk. Grab your favourite milk, froth it and add it to your beverage. It’s so yummy!
What milk is the best to add to I.AM.caps?
This is totally up to you! You can choose cow-milk, but we prefer to drink plant-based milk. Our favourite milk to add to I.AM.caps is the barista oat milk by Oatly. You can probably get this one at your local supermarket. It’s so foamy and tasty! If you ask us, this adds the perfect amount of sweetness to your latte.
Do you have a sample pack so I can try every flavor before I order individual I.AM.caps boxes?
Unfortunately, we don’t have sample packs yet. The reason for this is that all our capsules now are the same color (white), despite of the flavor. This was the only available color option for biodegradable capsules. However, we’re currently developing different color capsules for each flavor. Once we have those, we want to make sample packs, so you can try them all! Please keep an eye on our Instagram page for more updates.
Do you also sell caps for Dolce Gusto machines?
Unfortunately, we don’t sell capsules for Dolce Gusto machines. Since the factory we work with also produces capsules for Dolce Gusto, we are considering making them in the future. However, Dolce Gusto capsules don’t have biodegradable options yet, so therefore we decided not to make them yet.
Will the I.AM.capsules contain hints of coffee if I also drink coffee from the same Nespresso machine?
If you want to avoid any hint, we recommend to rinse the coffee machine with water before using I.AM.capsules. This means that you let water flush through your coffee machine without a capsule inside of it. When you do the above all the remaining coffee particles will leave the machine. Please throw the residual water away.
We also recommend to rinse the coffee machine with water in between using different flavors of I.AM.caps. For example: if you just made a beetroot shot and want to make a ginger shot afterwards, please rinse the coffee machine without a capsule in it so the residual beetroot particles can leave the machine. Now your ginger shot will not contain any pink color from the previous beetroot capsule.
What Nespresso® machines are suitable for I.AM.caps capsules?
Our capsules are compatible for all (non-b2b) Nespresso® machines and machines that are compatible for Nespresso® capsules. We do not sell Nespresso pads, who are mostly compatible for b2b machines.
I am pregnant. Can I drink your I.AM.capsules?
Based on customer experiences we can conclude that the flavors ginger and beetroot are not harmful during your pregnancy. We advise against drinking chai and turmeric during your pregnancy, due to the spiciness of the flavors. We also advise against drinking matcha during your pregnancy, since it contains caffeine. However, we always recommend you to consult a medical expert before drinking any of our beverages. MFK Manifestations B.V. makes no claims, representations or guarantees that the ingredients in our caps cannot harm you during your pregnancy.
How can I pay with my gift card?
Lucky you! There are unique codes on our gift cards. You can redeem your gift card by entering your unique code in the “gift card or discount code” section during check-out. Once you filled in the code, the amount will be adjusted automatically.
My package was delivered but it was damaged or incorrect. What should I do?

The flavors are not what I expected. What should I do?
We’re so sad to hear :( We’re a new company and we’re always thriving to improve the quality of our product.
